  14. Interface
  15. • The user list that the Account Assistant displays is now sorted by last name when you choose to auto-configure your account.
  16. • The filter menu displays shortcut keys for each filtering option.
  17. • There are special icons for messages you have replied to or forwarded.
  18. • A dialog appears when messages left on the server are filed.
  19. • Button titles have been added to the Contacts Manager.

  21. Preferences
  22. • The Behavior preference panel now offers an option to close the Message window after replying to or forwarding a message.
  23. • The Behavior preference panel also offers an option to display warnings when deleting messages, contacts, or server messages.
  24. • Mail can automatically be deleted from the Inbox, Sent Items, and Receipts folder if the account and Return Receipts preferences are set up to perform this function.
  25. • Messages viewed in the Message Peek pane are now automatically marked as read in your Message Browser, depending upon your preferences.
  26. • The "Never Send Notification" Return Receipt preference now functions properly.

  29. • Scroll bars are no longer printed when messages are printed in graphic format.

  33. • The AppleScript "List Enclosures" command now functions properly.
  34. • The AppleScript "Reply To" command now recognizes the "Copy Body" parameter.

  37. Additional Functionality
  38. • When using the auto-configure function of the Account Assistant, the "Type to" feature is available when you select your account.
  39. • There is now an option to rebuild index files for a selected folder via the folder's "Get Info" dialog.
  40. • The recipient list for received messages can be edited.
  41. • Pressing the Enter key when the Message window is displayed now generates a forwarded message.
  42. • "Save as LDIF File" can now be used to export the selected address group.
  43. • Passwords can now be up to 27 characters in length.
  44. • New messages always use the default persona for the main account.
  45. • The Spelling Checker can now restrict its search to highlighted words.
  46. • When replying to a recipient with unknown encoding, the encoding is now set to "Compatible".
  47. • The Account Assistant can now validate accounts on servers which do not support APOP.
  48. • Names of mail folders are now preserved when upgrading.

With the QuickMail Pro Client 2.0.2, all issues known to CE Software as of October 1, 1999, directly related to the operation of QuickMail Pro Client in the Year 2000 have been resolved. We believe that QuickMail Pro Client will operate properly in the year 2000 and in the years immediately following 2000, with the currently available Apple Mac OS versions and leading applications. Due to the fact that QuickMail Pro Client by its very nature must operate in concert with other applications, E-mail systems and the Mac OS, CE Software makes no warranty whatsoever regarding QuickMail Pro Client's performance in conjunction with software outside of CE Software's direct control.
